Tom is a scavenger and lives in a dilapidated house in an otherwise prosperous suburb. Ella, a newcomer to the area, is sympathetic to Tom’s plight, but this grates with Jake’s new boss and his snobbish wife, Genevieve. “Mockingbird” looks at how society treats misfits. Ignore them and hope they go away, actively take steps to get rid of them, or try to show compassion. But you could find yourself embroiled in something you can’t handle.

An almost entirely true story. A sex-worker finds themself with one more customer than expected and needs the help of the student who lives in the upstairs apartment. The client, down on their luck caused by an egregious wrongdoing and the student discover a common past and, in a twist, with the added guile of the sex-worker, hatch a plan to set things straight.
